U-ACT™, which stands for Unbridled Acts, or random acts of kindness, is a character-building initiative, specifically designed for middle and junior high schools. The program aims to inspire and energize students about the value of being kind to others. Throughout the 2007-2008 school year, participating schools will compete for a chance to earn up to $20,000.

Congratulations to 18-year-old Broken Arrow, Okla., resident and Red Robin Team Member, Mandi Basquez, for  receiving the grand prize in Red Robin’s first Team Member Video Contest that was created to celebrate “Unbridled Acts,” or random acts of kindness, that are a core component of Red Robin’s culture. As part of the contest, Red Robin Team Members had the opportunity to submit a video of themselves recreating a spontaneous, real-life “Unbridled Act” for the chance to win a cameo role in Red Robin’s new national television advertisements. The ads featuring Mandi are currently running on cable stations nationwide.
